OLD STUFF

Gesture: Untitled 1 is another way for saying I don't remember the title of this either. The simplicity of the landscape compostiion was beginning to change as I had begun to exhaust myself. These pieces were about to change into something new.

There were various smaller, different series of works created during this time, most of which, unfortunately, I've no longer a record of. Collage, found art, and even sculpture was produced at this time.

The concepts of art weren't the only things in play with these "gesture" series. Personal goals and an exercise in the actualization of talent, understanding the relationship between discipline and pure expressionism, and getting a better handle on what makes an artist, what is "art", what is the role of the dealer, the collector, and the industry, all were under the microscope at this time.
