OLD STUFF

Emerging is a made up title. Sue me. I've forgotten what the real title was, didn't write it down on the slide, and I've no idea who owns it or where it is, but I like it.

I did a dozen or so pieces in this black figure kind of climbing out of the background genre. The paper pieces are the coolest looking, as the canvas just didn't seem to capture the stark and alienated feeling I was going for. Nice objective, eh? Well, I was an ARTIST damnit! I had to explore pain! Suffering! Man's detachment from his species being, his exploitation at the hand of "the man" who's sole intention was to exploit the individual for his own personal profit and idea of property.

Whew! Good thing I went to "the man" school. That pain stuff was so, erm, uncomfortable.

Hey! Where's the warm colors? I guess the ochre yellow is warm, but there sure is a lot of green in it. Actually, it was the dynamic between the prussian blue and the ochre yellow that got me first excited about this series in the first place.
